Ripple Genetics was founded by Erynn Gordon, MS, CGC. Erynn is an innovative healthcare leader with diverse work experience across clinical genetics, research, laboratory and telehealth settings with proven track record in clinical operations. Erynn's versatile professional experience allows her to work cross functionally in a start-up setting to support commercial, clinical and product development. Her exceptional communication, analytic and management skills have fostered her success in the establishment of new collaborations and partnerships, acquisition of grant funding, development of new programs, partnerships, research protocols and publications. Erynn's accomplishments are built upon her clinical training and experience as a genetic counselor, which has cultivated her ability to communicate with individuals across all educational and professional backgrounds, and serve as the backbone to her high standards in care delivery and ethical decision making in patient care and research.
As a board certified genetic counselor with 20 years of clinical, research, and industry experience, Erynn has served on the executive team at Genome Medical, a nationwide telehealth service, joining as the third employee as VP of Clinical Operations where she grew the clinical team to more than 40 employees, supported >100% growth in patient volume year over year while maintaining an NPS >70.
Prior to her work at Genome Medical, Erynn served as the first genetic counselor at 23andMe, supporting their health report relaunch in roles including Director of Clinical Development and Medical Marketing Director.
In addition to her recent work in industry, Erynn has held traditional clinical roles at Children's National Medical Center and the University of Maryland, as well as research roles, including building and managing the Coriell Personalized Medicine Collaborative, a research initiative aimed at evaluating the utility of personalized medicine and serving as a member of the IRB at Children's National Medical Center and Chesapeake IRB (now Adverra).
Erynn has been deeply engaged in the genetic counseling community,
having worked with several genetic counseling training programs throughout her
career. She is a past president of the American Board of Genetic Counseling and has
previously served on the Board of Directors for the National Society of Genetic
Counselors. She is currently Vice Chair of the Genetic Counseling Licensure Board
for the state of New Jersey. Erynn holds a master’s of science in genetic counseling
from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor of arts in biology and psychology
from Lehigh University.
